STEPHANIE MOORE
I make three dimensional Joy Dome Mandala sculptures on large acrylic domes by embellishing
with ceramic Christmas tree plastic replacement bulbs in the shapes of birds, mushrooms,
flowers and seahorses. I also use mermaid drink markers, poured resin flowers, rhinestones, fake
hair extensions and silicon tubing. I combine all these elements into concentric circles that create
a mandala effect. Order and balance in nature play a big part in my work, particularly circles and
flowers. I love the process of the dome blooming and growing and creating movement by the
colors and patterns I create. The combination of vibrant energetic colors, shiny plastic and a
touch of sparkle bring me so much joy and I hope the viewer too, has their own experience of joy.
